Learning, the link to the future ...
Orewa North Primary School is located 40 kilometres north of Auckland at the Hibiscus Coast beach resort of Orewa. The school is located two blocks from the beach which is a natural attraction for all families associated with the school.
The school opened in May 1978 and is a Primary School catering for students from Year 1 to Year 6.
The current roll of just on 300 is expected to continue to grow as more families are attracted to the life style the area provides and the on going residential development.
The school provides a friendly and safe environment for the children. We aim to provide the children with a good sound grasp of the skills and knowledge required to form the platform for future learning with particular emphasis on numeracy, literacy and communication skills. Thus our school motto: Learning; the link to the future. Through the programmes children receive opportunities both within and outside the classroom to gain the self confidence to progress and achieve at their individual level through a focus of inquiry learning across the school.
It is important that a co-operative partnership between school and home is achieved to assist children to reach their potential.
